

Rain DropsA drop falls, followed by another, and another, as they trickle slowly down the branch. I feel each icy drop hit my palm as I stretch out my hand, catching them just as they start to fall. The rain stopped hours ago, and yet still the drops continue to tickle down the branches. Falling like tears from a broken heart, like tears from a child left alone, or a man who lost his only hope. As they fall I feel myself longing to know why, why even now I’m numb. Why even as I sit here I feel  Rain Drops
